I have attended enough DJ conventions over the years to know the difference between a presentation that is educational and entertaining vs. a waste of precious time that is uncomfortable for the audience. The presenter makes all the difference. Mike Wieder always comes prepared with solid content and the ability to make you laugh out loud while simultaneously teaching you something to make you a better performer. Recently I had the pleasure of attending “Be the Difference Maker,” his latest seminar offering. Mike broke down a wedding reception from start to finish and shared ways to personalize every aspect of the feature moments. And no, it was not just “buy this light and build a new facade” to impress everyone. It was tiny touches that can help any entrepreneur create “Wow” moments for their clients. Wieder doesn’t just read the text from each slide and regurgitate it to the audience.  He knows that people appreciate eye candy and comes prepared with plenty of video clips and photos to help make his points and keep things moving. And obviously, to those of us who know him well, his ability to share real-life stories of on-the-job experiences with a sharp sense of humor is always included. I drove home from Mike’s presentation reminded that exceptional events do not just happen. You have to P.R.E.P. and  “never stop learning.”

Utilizing his trademark humor, polished showmanship, and understated confidence, he presents his material in a very interactive and direct fashion. In the tradition of “practice what you preach”, those that know Mike well, know that he exhibits all of the traits that he highlights – positive mental attitude, continual improvement, and to simply “care.” Mike’s success is attributed to his ability to adapt and adjust, coupled with his encouragement to the rest of the industry. This ultimately lends to a lead-by-example approach as we all strive to elevate our own performances. I highly recommend Mike Wieder for any speaking engagements or seminar opportunities.
